architect's studio in bishopston, bristol

Set in the garden of a Victorian semi-detached house the single storey studio is linked to a new rear extension; the monopitch slate roof is punctuated by a box framed 'dormer' structure to raise the headroom over the large glazed area. Simple volumes are carefully detailed to suggest a contemporary language, yet they sit comfortably next to the historic structure.
