Brick-clad rear extension, North Somerset

DHV Architects designed a generous kitchen / dining room extension for a quirky 1920s brick house in Long Ashton. The project also involved a loft conversion to create two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The large chimneys with their integrate patterns form a focal point within the unusual cantilevered neo mansard roof and therefore had to be retained. A special feature of the loft conversion are the metal clad dormers with glazed cheeks to allow views into the beautiful North Somerset countryside.
