New House in Conservation Area, Bristol

DHV Architects have obtained planning consent for a two bedroom mews house on a constrained garage site in the Montpelier Conservation Area in Bristol. The stone-clad street elevation features a double-storey opening with patio doors at first floor and a set- back, timber-clad wall at ground floor leading to the entrance door. The solid/void relationship reflects the proportions of the adjacent properties whilst the elevational treatment designates the transition between the Victorian terraces and the informal mews vernacular.
