DHVA combine award-winning contemporary design ability and attention to detail to help our clients create beautiful spaces tailored to their needs. We take on projects of all scales where we can transform buildings through inspirational design, careful repair or strategic planning.
We are particularly experienced in the care and conservation of historic and ecclesiastical buildings, and we are adept at obtaining planning and listed building consent for sensitive sites. We have a lot of experience in grant funding bids and incorporating successful visitor and community engagement in public architectural projects.
Our office is in Montpelier in central Bristol. We undertake projects in Bristol and across the southwest of England, from Wiltshire to Cornwall, and into South Wales. The practice was founded in 2005 by Elke Dittrich, who was joined as a principal by Federica Vasetti in 2011. In 2016 Izaak Hudson joined the practice, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in historic building conservation. We also have a dedicated architectural support team.
DHVA offer all of the RIBA menu of services to suit every project. We have accreditation in building conservation (AABC), Passive House designer certification, and staff have experience in delivering BREEAM sustainable projects.
