A dark and narrow Victorian terrace was transformed into a bright open plan house by relocating the kitchen and extending into the former yard. The extension's 'butterfly' roof is supported by reclaimed timber beams that are left exposed and form the central feature of the new living area. Sustainable materials are used to great effect striking a balance between crisp design and homely feel. This project has been featured in Build It, Somerset Life and Houzz.
