Visitor Hub

DHV Architects have received planning consent for a new Visitor Welcome Centre at Home Farm at Tyntesfield near Bristol. Home Farm is a Grade II* listed model farm built by the Gibbs family in the 1880s. Following a major conversion project in 2010-11 Home Farm now serves as the visitor hub for the extensive Victorian site, but increasing visitor numbers are already putting a strain on the building and facilities.

DHVA led a feasibility project which involved extensive consultation with the stakeholders, Trust staff and volunteers and local statutory authorities to help agree an acceptable solution for this phenomenally significant site. The project has now obtained funding and the new-build visitor facility is currently at design stage with implementation on site planned for 2019.
